In The Pink - 2017 Breast Cancer Awareness Walk
A sea of pink washed over Murrells Inlet this morning as more than 1,200 people joined together to honor breast cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost and raise awareness about the disease. Thank you to everyone who participated in today's "In the Pink" Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, and also to those who supported the event but were not able to attend. We'd also like to thank our 53 incredible sponsors who helped us put it all together.
Proceeds from the walk benefit the Tidelands Health Foundation Breast Care Fund, which helps patients in need receive care.
But "In the Pink" is about more than just raising money - it's an opportunity to unite against breast cancer. The success of today's event demonstrates the incredible passion for the cause within our community. It was an honor to walk alongside such a caring and compassionate group of people.
