Water safety the topic of April’s Walk With a Doc at Brookgreen Gardens

Parents and families are invited to get a head start on summer water safety during April’s free Walk With a Doc at Brookgreen Gardens.

Tracey Wood, pediatric nurse practitioner at Tidelands Health, and Michelle Krenzer, aquatics director at the YMCA of Coastal Carolina, will discuss tips to help keep your loved ones safe around water, including how to designate a responsible water watcher, recognize and escape rip currents and reduce the risk of drowning.

Walk With a Doc will take place Saturday, April 25, at 10 a.m. Registration is free and covers admission to Brookgreen that morning. Space is limited to 50 participants, and pre‑registration is required.

Register at tidelandshealth.org.
