Tidelands Health hospitals earn national recognitions for transparency

Both Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital and Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital have earned the Leapfrog Full Transparency Badge.

The designation recognizes hospitals that voluntarily share comprehensive data on patient safety, quality and operational practices through The Leapfrog Group’s annual hospital survey. Hospitals receiving the badge submit and publicly report information across all applicable survey categories, helping patients make informed decisions about their care. 

“Patients and families deserve clear, reliable information when making health care decisions,” said Jay Hinesley, chief executive officer of Tidelands Health. “Earning the Leapfrog Full Transparency Badge reflects our commitment to openness, accountability and continuous improvement as we work every day to provide safe, high-quality care for the people who depend on us.”

By participating in national reporting initiatives such as the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, Tidelands Health demonstrates its commitment to measuring performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and maintaining trust with the communities it serves.

The Leapfrog Full Transparency Badge appears on Leapfrog’s public ratings website and highlights hospitals that have made a clear commitment to openly reporting information about their performance, quality and safety outcomes.
