Experienced financial leader promoted to CFO at Tidelands Health
A Tidelands Health leader with more than two decades of finance experience has been promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Erin Shaffer Beadle moved into her new role at the not-for-profit health system this week. She succeeds Beth Ward, who retired after a 40-year career in health care finance.
Beadle, who joined Tidelands Health in 2008 as assistant controller, has served on the health system’s senior leadership team since 2021, when she was promoted to vice president of finance and business analytics.
In her new role, Beadle maintains fiscal responsibility for the health system while overseeing accounting functions and business analytics, as well as supporting growth initiatives. She also helps guide the health system’s vision as a member of its executive leadership team.
“Erin’s financial expertise, coupled with her extensive knowledge of our health system and community, will help build on the solid foundation that keeps Tidelands Health financially strong and positioned to serve our region well into the future,” said Bruce Bailey, president and CEO of Tidelands Health.
In her more than 20-year career, Beadle has served in a variety of financial roles, including as a certified public accountant in her native New York. Prior to joining Tidelands Health, she worked at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, New York, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Le Moyne College in Syracuse and is a graduate of the Tidelands Health Leadership Academy.
In 2018, she earned recognition as a “Rising Star” from the Charleston CFO Council for her exemplary work at Tidelands Health.
Beadle lives in Murrells Inlet with her husband, Jason, and daughters, Olivia, Sydney and Emily.
