Board-certified cardiologist joins growing Tidelands Health practice 

A board-certified cardiologist has joined Tidelands Health Cardiology and is accepting new patients. 

Dr. William Meeks provides care and treatment for a range of heart and blood vessel conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmia, hypertension and more. He conducts stress tests and performs cardiac catheterization procedures.

He sees patients at Tidelands Health Cardiology locations in Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island. 

Dr. Meeks earned his medical degree at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed his residency at Palmetto Health Richland Internal Medicine. In addition, he completed two fellowships, Prisma Health Richland Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Medical University of South Carolina.  

Dr. Meeks earned board certifications from the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine and National Board of Echocardiography.
