As a natural extension of that work, Tidelands Health will serve as presenting sponsor of Relay For Life events in Conway and Myrtle Beach this spring.

“Every day, we see the life-altering impact a cancer diagnosis can have on patients and their families,” said Terence Pickett, director of cancer services at Tidelands Health. “Our team has the privilege of helping thousands of residents each year navigate their cancer journey. Supporting these Relay For Life events and the American Cancer Society is another way we support cancer patients and help combat the disease.”

Tidelands Health will serve as a presenting sponsor of the Relay For Life of Coastal Carolina University on April 2 from noon to midnight at Blanton Park in Conway and the Relay For Life of the Grand Strand on May 7 from 3-9 p.m. at Valor Park at The Market Common in Myrtle Beach.

Relay For Life is a signature fund-raising event for the American Cancer Society. Participants take turns walking around a track or park for up to 12 hours and raise funds for the cause.

The event celebrates survivors, remembers loved ones and collects donations that help fund cancer research and patient care programs locally and nationwide. Every donation helps the American Cancer Society save lives.

The Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network offers cancer screenings, diagnosis and a broad range of treatment services, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery. Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network locations in Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet and Georgetown are closely affiliated with MUSC Health and serve as hubs of the regional network.

Tidelands Health is accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer. The Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network offers patients a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care that features personal attention from a wide variety of care professionals including oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, nutritionists, pharmacists and more.
