Tidelands HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness offering new virtual membership

Don’t want to go to the gym but still need a workout? Tidelands HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness is bringing its classes and workouts to you through a new virtual membership.

Diane Pringle teaches Zumba at Tidelands HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness. In the comfort of home or on the go, virtual-only members can participate in some of Tidelands HealthPoint’s most popular classes such as Zumba, Pilates and yoga through a live-streamed format. Members also have access to an app featuring thousands of workout videos and a search function that helps users easily find the best workout to meet their needs.

Through the app, users can search for videos based on type of workout, duration of workout, difficulty level, body area targeted and more. A wide range of workouts is available, including cardio, cycling, dance and more and can be accessed anytime.

“Tidelands HealthPoint wants to make it as convenient and easy as possible for individuals to keep up with their workouts whether they are in our state-of-the-art fitness center, in the comfort of their home or traveling and unable to join their usual Zumba class in person,” said Kim Vanlandingham, manager of Tidelands HealthPoint. “Our new virtual membership allows you to work out when, where and the way you want.”

The virtual-only membership costs $15 a month and includes four passes per year to visit Tidelands HealthPoint in person. There is no enrollment fee for a virtual-only membership, which can be renewed on a month-to-month basis.

The virtual membership is included at no additional cost for current Tidelands HealthPoint members; they just need to contact Tidelands HealthPoint to activate it.

The new virtual membership is part of the Tidelands Health Safe in Our Care commitment, which helps area residents safely access the health and wellness services they need amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the virtual membership, Tidelands HealthPoint has implemented numerus protocols to limit the spread of the virus at the facility, including social distancing and extra cleaning of equipment.

“We have welcomed back many of our members who are again back to their regular workouts in our safe environment,” Vanlandingham said. “Whether in person at our Pawleys Island fitness center or coming to you live through our new app, Tidelands HealthPoint wants to help you to never miss a workout and reach your fitness goals.”
