Tidelands Health to host community health day in Georgetown

Get helpful information and benefit from free and low-cost health screenings at the next Tidelands Health community health day Friday, Jan. 24, in Georgetown.

Community health dayThe community health day will offer a variety of screenings and provide information on breast health, pain management, digestive health and more.

The event will take place Friday, Jan. 24, from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at Georgetown Presbyterian Church, 558 Black River Road in Georgetown. Admission is free.

Many health screenings will be offered at no cost, including skin cancer, blood pressure, body mass index, bone density and A1C for diabetes.

Low-cost screenings that will be available include a chemistry profile ($20), thyroid screen ($15), PSA (prostate - $15) and complete blood count with differential ($20).

Lab registration forms for the Jan. 24 event are available online at and in the information lobby areas of Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital and Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Registration forms also will be available at the event.
