Tidelands Health nursing leader serves as a featured speaker at statewide event
A Tidelands Health nursing leader recently served as a featured speaker on ethics in health care at a statewide gathering of health care executives.
Ashley Capps, associate vice president of nursing operations at Tidelands Health, shared her expertise as a panelist during an American College of Healthcare Executives educational event in Columbia. The panel presented ideas and best practices for building an ethical culture in health care leadership and organizations.
The panel discussion was part of a day-long event focused on ethics in health care. About 75 health care executives, leaders, physicians and graduate students attended sessions at the headquarters of the South Carolina Hospital Association.
Capps, who has more than two decades of clinical and operational experience, joined Tidelands Health in 2015. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the South Carolina Organization of Nurse Leaders.
