Tidelands Health marketing team wins 12 awards in statewide contest
The Tidelands Health marketing and communications department earned a dozen awards – including five first-place honors – in the South Carolina Press Association’s annual awards contest.
The awards recognized the team’s work in a variety of areas, including reporting, writing, photography, graphics, electronic communications and public relations program. Tidelands Health competed in the associate and individual division.
Tidelands Health won first place in the reporting-in-depth category for its comprehensive coverage of Hurricane Florence last year, including the health system’s preparations and how it weathered the storm, as well as tips for residents in the storm’s path.
Other first-place awards:
- Public relations program for the 2017 annual report
- Electronic newsletter/publication for the MyCarolinaLife.com e-newsletter
- Sports reporting for a story about a pitcher who returned to the mound after recovering from an injury
- Feature writing for a story about a popular cook in the hospital cafeteria
The press association presented the awards during a luncheon Saturday in Columbia.
