New surgeon joins Tidelands Health

A board-certified, fellowship-trained general surgeon has joined the medical staff of Tidelands Health.

Dr. Salim Gerhard Ghorra is practicing at Tidelands Health General and Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Ghorra earned his medical degree from Lebanese University in Beirut, Lebanon, and completed a general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship through Brown University at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.

Dr. Ghorra, who is of German and Lebanese descent, provides a wide range of surgical care including appendectomy, minimally invasive colon and rectal surgery, splenectomy and more.

Tidelands Health General and Vascular Surgery provides care at locations in Murrells Inlet and Georgetown.

The Murrells Inlet location is in Suite 202 of Waccamaw Medical Park West, 4040 Highway 17 Bypass, and the Georgetown location is at 469 Marina Drive.
