Learn how to keep your mobility during Walk With a Doc on Oct. 12 in Myrtle Beach

We often don’t appreciate the importance of mobility to our health until we start to lose it.

Without a full range of motion in our joints, we can struggle to get up or be active.

Walk With a DocLearn about ways to maintain and improve mobility during the next Tidelands Health Walk With a Doc on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 9 a.m. at Grand Park at The Market Common in Myrtle Beach.

Dr. Mark Rowley, an orthopedic surgeon at Tidelands Health, will present “On the Move to Better Health: The Importance of Mobility to Well-Being.” He will share his expertise, provide tips to improve mobility then lead the group on a walk around the park.

Every month, Tidelands Health hosts Walk With a Doc, a free community walking initiative launched in May 2017. Each program begins with a brief presentation on a health topic from a Tidelands Health medical professional before participants enjoy a self-paced, one-mile walk around the lake at Grand Park.

The event is open to all ages, and strollers are welcome. Meet at the picnic pavilion adjacent to Forbus Court near the baseball fields at Grand Park.
