This is the second Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Hospital in the region. A sister facility is located within Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet.

“We’re excited to expand Tideland Health Rehabilitation Hospital’s high-quality rehabilitative services to the Little River area,” said Carey Swanson, CEO of Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Hospital. “This hospital was designed with our patients’ specific needs in mind and will help people reach milestones and find hope after experiencing a life-changing illness or injury. We look forward to welcoming our first patient.”

The ribbon-cutting celebration for the new hospital included tours of the facility and remarks from Swanson; Bruce Bailey, president and CEO, Tidelands Health; Mark Tarr, president and CEO, Encompass Health Corp.; Catherine Behanna, a former patient; and J.
