Community health day to feature free and low-cost health screenings, information

Get helpful health information and benefit from free and low-cost health testing at the next Tidelands Health community health day Friday, Oct. 25, in Murrells Inlet.

The community health day will offer a variety of screenings and provide information on breast health, pain management, digestive health and more.

Community Health DayThe event will take place Friday, Oct. 25, from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 4182 Highway 17 Business in Murrells Inlet. Admission to the event is free.

Many health screenings will be offered at no cost, including skin cancer, blood pressure, body mass index, bone density and A1C for diabetes.

Low-cost screenings that will be available include a chemistry profile ($20), thyroid screen ($15), PSA (prostate) for men ($15) and complete blood count with differential ($20).

Lab registration forms for the Oct. 25 event are available in the information lobby areas of Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital and Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital and online by clicking here. Registration forms also will be available at the event.
