Adult swimming workshops offer opportunity to improve swim stroke

Refine your swim stroke through a series of adult swimming workshops coming to Tidelands HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness.

The region’s only medical fitness center will offer four Saturday workshops focusing on different swim strokes in April and May. The workshops will take place from 9-10:30 a.m. on April 6 (freestyle), April 20 (backstroke), May 4 (breaststroke) and May 18 (butterfly).Woman performs backstroke in pool.

The workshops will be led by USA Swimming-certified coaches and will help swimmers improve their swimming skills through drills and video reference material offered after each workshop.

The program is open to individuals ages 18 and older who are able to swim at least 50 yards (two laps) of the applicable stroke using proper breathing technique.

Members and non-members of Tidelands HealthPoint are invited to participate. The cost is $20 per session or $75 for all four sessions.
