Additional parking coming to Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital
Tidelands Health is adding more than 50 new parking spaces at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital as part of the health system’s continued commitment to provide an excellent experience for patients and visitors.
The health system will begin renovations to the parking areas at Tidelands Georgetown in April.
To help make way for the additional parking spots, Memorial Lane, which runs parallel to Wigfall Street, will be permanently closed on April 1. Visitors to the hospital will need to use the main hospital entrance on Wigfall Street, which is located between the hospital’s parking lot and Georgetown Presbyterian Church.
In addition, portions of the main parking lot at the hospital will be reconfigured to accommodate additional parking spaces.
“The project will make it easier to park at Tidelands Georgetown and improve overall traffic flow on the hospital campus,” said Gayle Resetar, chief operating officer for Tidelands Health. “We want to help ensure our patients benefit from a positive experience even before they walk through the hospital’s doors.”
The project is expected to wrap up by early summer 2019.
