Every month, Tidelands Health hosts Walk With a Doc, a free community walking initiative launched in May 2017, in The Market Common community of Horry County.

Each program begins with a brief presentation on a health topic from a Tidelands Health medical professional before participants enjoy a self-paced, one-mile walk around the lake at Grand Park. The event also features healthy snacks and blood pressure checks.

This month, Tidelands Health family medicine physician Dr. Lori Hess and nurse practitioner Shelly Rottner, who both practice at Tidelands Health Family Medicine at Prince Creek, will offer strategies to help you stick with your commitment to better health before leading the leading the group for its monthly walk.
Attendees should meet at the picnic pavilion adjacent to Forbus Court near the baseball fields at Grand Park.

Walk With a Doc is open to individuals of all ages. Strollers are welcome.
