Tidelands Health, Historic Winyah Auditorium partner to bring musical series to Georgetown

Tidelands Health is partnering with the Historic Winyah Auditorium to bring the magic of music to Georgetown.

The health system will serve as the presenting sponsor of “The Gospel Experience,” a three-part musical series developed as part of a new initiative launched by the not-for-profit auditorium to produce its own musical events.

The first part of the series, called “A Celebration of Traditional Gospel Music,” will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, at the auditorium, located at 1200 Highmarket St. in Georgetown.

The concert will feature the Gospel Experience Praise and Worship Team, a group of singers from local churches who came together to perform at the event, the Georgetown High School Gospel Choir, the College of Charleston’s Gospel Choir, the Mason Temple Youth Choir and the Claflin University Gospel Choir.

Tickets are $10.75, including a $0.75 administrative fee, and can be purchased by going to
