Swimming workshops coming to Tidelands HealthPoint in January
Children can improve their swimming technique at a series of swimming workshops coming next month to Tidelands HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness in Pawleys Island.
Our region’s only medical fitness center is offering children ages 15 and under the opportunity to refine their swim strokes at four 90-minute workshops in January. The workshops, to be held from 10-11:30 a.m. each Saturday of the month, will be taught by USA Swimming-certified coaches.
The first session, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 5, will focus on the freestyle stroke. The subsequent three Saturday sessions will focus on breaststroke, butterfly and backstroke.
The cost to participate is $15 per session or $50 for all four sessions. Swimmers must be able to swim at least 25 yards of each stroke using proper breathing technique.
Membership to Tidelands HealthPoint is not required. For more information and to register, call 843-237-2205. Space is limited.
