New family medicine physician joins Tidelands Health

A new family medicine physician has joined the medical staff of Tidelands Health.

Dr. Peter Farag is a hospital-based physician who is caring for patients at Dr. Peter FaragTidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet and Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown.

Dr. Farag earned his medical degree from Alexandria University in Egypt and completed a residency in family medicine at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida.

Dr. Farag specializes in the care of patients following heart attacks and with pneumonia, sepsis, diabetes, hypertensive complications and other conditions.

Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital is located at 606 Black River Road in Georgetown. Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital is located at 4070 Highway 17 Bypass South in Murrells Inlet.
