Georgetown County native Mark Roberts named digital director for Tidelands Health
A Georgetown County native with more than a decade of award-winning experience in marketing and advertising has been named digital director for Tidelands Health.
Mark Roberts, who holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Francis Marion University, joined Tidelands Health in June 2014 as the health system’s interactive marketing specialist.
In the role, he helped redesign the health system’s website and intranet and managed the organization’s photography and videography programs, among other functions. The superior quality of Roberts’ work has helped the health system earn a series of national and international marketing and advertising awards including three prestigious Telly Awards for videography, a “Best in Show” in the 12th annual W3 Awards competition and, in consecutive years, Grand Prize-Best Overall Video in PR Daily’s Video Awards.
In his new role as digital director, Roberts will assume expanded responsibility for the health system’s online presence and will continue to manage the health system’s videography and photography.
“Mark is a bright and innovative leader who has played an instrumental role in the health system’s efforts to engage the community and encourage health and wellness,” said Amy Stevens, vice president of marketing and communications for the health system. “In his new role, he’ll help us amplify that message further as part of our mission to help people live better lives through better health.”
