Tidelands Health to host two blood drives in early June

Help meet the need for blood by donating at either of two upcoming blood drives hosted by Tidelands Health.

The health system will host a blood drive from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. on Friday, June 1, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital, 606 Black River Road in Georgetown.Hands holding heart

A second blood drive will take place from 8 a.m.–1 p.m. on Monday, June 4, at Tidelands HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness, 12965 Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island.

Appointments will take priority at the blood drives, but walk-ins are welcome. Appointments for the blood drive at Tidelands Georgetown can be made by calling 843-527-7173. Donors can call 843-237-2205 to make an appointment at Tidelands HealthPoint.

In addition to having a valid ID, blood donors must be healthy, be at least 17 years old and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds.
