Tidelands Health names new leader of oncology services
Murrells Inlet resident Timothy Laugh has been named director of oncology services at Tidelands Health, the region’s most comprehensive provider of cancer care.
The new role expands upon Laugh’s respons
ibilities to include oversight of the medical practices of Tidelands Health Oncology and Tidelands Health Breast Center, in addition to chemotherapy and infusion services, radiation oncology, the tumor registry, oncology research and other cancer-related services.
Laugh joined Tidelands Health in 2016 and has 33 years of experience in oncology. He began his career as a radiation therapist and has been in oncology management for 29 years.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy from Wayne State University in Detroit and his master’s degree in health administration from Western Kentucky University.
The Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network is the only triple-accredited cancer center in the area. It is accredited by the American College of Radiology, the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and the Commission on Cancer, a program of the American College of Surgeons.
