Tidelands Health names new leader of musculoskeletal and neuroscience care
A board-certified occupational therapist with nearly two decades of experience in rehabilitation has been named director of the Tidelands Health musculoskeletal and neuroscience service line.
Surfside Beach resident Eval Smith, who has a master’s degree in health care supervision and management from the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitative Sciences, joined the health system as an occupational therapist in January 2005.
Smith has extensive experience in orthopedics and most recently served as the health system’s director of outpatient rehabilitation services.
In his new role, Smith is responsible for helping ensure the health system’s musculoskeletal and neuroscience care is best positioned to meet the needs of the community.
