Tidelands Health Foundation receives $50,000 donation
The Tidelands Health Foundation has received another generous donation from longtime supporter Robins & Morton.
The privately held construction company donated $50,000 to support a new fundraising initiative to expand services at Tidelands Health, a not-for-profit health system with three hospitals and more than 50 outpatient locations stretching from Andrews to North Myrtle Beach.
“Demand for our health care services continues to grow as our region’s population swells,” said Bruce Bailey, president and CEO of Tidelands Health. “Generous support from partners such as Robins & Morton helps Tidelands Health expand its offerings to keep up with the growing demand for health care in the communities we serve.”
Michael Bumgardner, division manager for Robins & Morton, presented the check to Bailey and Jessica Sasser, executive director of the Tidelands Health Foundation, after learning about the health system’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community health and wellness during a luncheon in Georgetown County earlier this month.
“Tidelands Health has such a tremendous impact on the region,” Bumgardner said. “Robins & Morton is glad to support Tidelands Health in its efforts to provide high-quality health care to residents of this fast-growing area.”
In addition to the donation, Robins & Morton is one of the presenting sponsors of the Tidelands Health Foundation’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, which raises money for the Tidelands Health Foundation Breast Care Fund to help uninsured and underinsured patients get mammograms that could save a life. The walk is set for Oct. 6.
The Tidelands Health Foundation, established in 1990, works in concert with Tidelands Health to provide new technologies, convenient facilities and increased access to health care services in the region.
