New internal medicine physician joins Tidelands Health

A new internal medicine physician has joined the team at Tidelands Health.

Dr. Adam Hughes is a hospital-based physician who is caring for patients at Dr. Adam HughesTidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet and Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown.

Dr. Hughes earned both his medical degree and master’s degree in business administration from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. He completed a residency in internal medicine through Sovah Health in Danville, Virginia.

Dr. Hughes specializes in the care of hospitalized patients. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Physicians, the American College of Osteopathic Internists and the American Osteopathic Association.

Tideland Georgetown Memorial Hospital is located at 606 Black River Road in Georgetown. Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital is located at 4070 Highway 17 Bypass South in Murrells Inlet.
