Learn from a pro at Tidelands HealthPoint basketball skills camp

Get a step on the competition this basketball season with the help of former pro player and Georgetown High School standout Jonathan Maybank.Jonathan Maybank

Maybank will teach a basketball skills camp in September at Tidelands HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness, 12965 Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island. The camp is meant to help student-athletes ages 12-18 hone their skills before the start of the fall basketball season.

Maybank, a 2004 Georgetown High graduate who played basketball in college and professionally in Australia, will offer expert instruction on shooting, passing, defense, ball handling, footwork and rebounding.

The camp will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays from Sept. 10-26 at Tidelands HealthPoint. The cost is $40 per week, and membership to Tidelands HealthPoint is not required.
