Dr. Sarah Thurman, radiation oncologist, joins the medical staff of Tidelands Health

An experienced radiation oncologist has joinedDr. Sarah Thurman the medical staff of Tidelands Health.

Dr. Sarah Thurman has practiced radiation oncology for 17 years in both the academic and community setting. She is bringing her expertise to the patients of the Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network, the region’s most comprehensive cancer provider, as medical director of its radiation oncology program.

Dr. Thurman earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, completed an internship at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Virginia and her residency in radiation oncology at The John Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Thurman, who is employed by MUSC Health Partners, has co-authored numerous abstracts and publications. She has also regularly presented at universities, symposiums and in other venues.

Dr. Thurman practices at the Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network location in Murrells Inlet.
