Ashley DesMarteau Joins Tidelands Health Foundation Board
The owner of a local organization that provides in-home care to seniors is the newest addition to the Tidelands Health Foundation board.
Pawleys Island resident Ashley DesMarteau is the owner and client care manager for Home Care Assistance of the Grand Strand, which provides services aimed at helping seniors live happier, healthier lives at home.
A strong advocate for seniors, DesMarteau said serving on the Tidelands Health
Foundation board is a natural fit. The foundation works in concert with Tidelands Health to help ensure superior health care is available to the region’s residents.
“Health care is extremely important to our community, especially to seniors,” DesMarteau said. “I’m excited to support an organization that’s accomplished so much to increase access to care in our region.”
DesMarteau earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the College of Charleston and a Corporate Contributions and Philanthropy Certification from the Center for Corporate Citizenship at Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.
She helped spearhead the development of the Winyah Bay Sailing Club in Georgetown and has volunteered her time for numerous groups including the Waccamaw High School Athletic Booster Club, Charleston Ocean Racing Association and St. Christopher's Children.
