A fellowship-trained gastroenterologist has joined the medical staff of Tidelands Health.

Dr. Christopher Bach is practicing at Tidelands Waccamaw Gastroenterology. His areas of interest include irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, peptic ulcer disease, colon cancer and gut microbiome, the microbes that live in our intestines.Dr. Christopher Bach

Dr. Bach earned his medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, completed an internal medicine residency at John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore and completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Yale New Haven Hospital and Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut.

Tidelands Waccamaw Gastroenterology offers services in Georgetown and Murrells Inlet. The Murrells Inlet office is located in Suite 302 of Waccamaw Medical Park West, 4040 Highway 17 Bypass. The Georgetown office is located at 1011 North Fraser St.
