Help Save A Life By Donating Blood At Upcoming Collection Drives

Help save a life by donating blood this holiday season at one of two collection drives hosted in December by Tidelands Health.

The first drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, in the private dining room on the first floor of Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital, 606 Black River Road in Georgetown.

A second blood drive will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12, in the blood mobile parked outside Tidelands HealthPoint Center For Health and Fitness, 12965 Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island.

In addition to having a valid photo ID, blood donors must be healthy, be at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds.

Appointments will take priority, but walk-ins are welcome. Appointments for either drive can be made online by going to Donors also can make appointments via telephone by calling 843.527.7173 (Tidelands Georgetown blood drive) or 843.237.2205 (Tidelands HealthPoint blood drive).
