Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital receives multiple Healthgrades Five-Star recognitions for quality care
Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital has earned several 2016 recognitions from one of the nation’s leading independent health care review organizations.
Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital received Healthgrades five-star quality recognition for:
- Treatment of heart attack
- Treatment of stroke (third year in a row)
- Treatment of diabetic emergencies (second year in a row)
- Treatment of heart failure
- Defibrillator procedures
Every year, Healthgrades evaluates hospital performance at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for 33 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions. According to Healthgrades, a five-star rating indicates that Tidelands Health’s clinical outcomes are statistically significantly better than expected when treating the condition or performing the procedure being evaluated.
“We are proud and pleased that Healthgrades continues to recognize the high quality care we provide to our region at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital,” said Tidelands Health CEO and President Bruce Bailey. “Healthgrades recognizes our hospital system’s commitment to quality and the contributions of our physician and employee partners in making the designations possible.”
For its analysis, Healthgrades evaluated approximately 40 million Medicare inpatient records.
