Monday, February 23, 2015
As food prices rise, serving nutritious, economic meals can be a challenge. Find out how to keep your family and your budget healthy at Georgetown Hospital System’s free supermarket tours. Dietitians are leading three tours where you can learn how to read food labels, pick healthy snacks, shop on a budget and how marketing influences our food choices. Each tour lasts one hour and includes time for questions.
There’s still time to sign up for the next tour at 5 p.m. Feb. 27 at Walmart in Georgetown. Other tours include: March 18, 5 p.m. at Pawleys Island Lowes Foods and March 31, 5 p.m. at the Garden City Kroger. Space is limited, so call 843.520.8288 to register.
