Devoted volunteer selected as new member of the Tidelands Foundation board

Collin Jewell, a local attorney and dedicated volunteer in the community, has been named to the Tidelands Health Foundation board of directors.
Jewell will serve a two-year term on the board, which helps raise funds to support Tidelands Health’s mission of continuously improving care and exceeding expectations.
“We are delighted that Collin is joining our board,” said Sherby McGrath, chairwoman of the Tidelands Health Foundation board. “With his many ties to the community and his volunteer service to a variety of organizations, he will be a valuable asset to the board.”
A partner in the Floyd Law Firm PC in Surfside Beach, Jewell serves as secretary of the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of Georgetown County and treasurer of the board of directors for the Cultural Council of Georgetown County. He also is a member of the Murrells Inlet Rotary Club and attorney coach for the Waccamaw High School mock trial team.
Jewell, who grew up in Murrells Inlet, is a graduate of Waccamaw High School, Stetson University in Deland, Fla., and the Charleston School of Law. He is a member of the S.C. Bar Association, Horry County Bar Association and Georgetown County Bar Association.
