Learn to shop healthy at summer supermarket tours

As food prices rise, serving nutritious, economic meals can be a challenge. Find out how to keep your family and your budget healthy at Tidelands Health’s free supermarket tours June 17, July 21 and Aug. 18.

 The June 17 tour will be at 5 p.m. at Pawleys Island Food Lion, located at 9380 Ocean Highway.

The July 21 tour will be at 5 p.m. at the Garden City Kroger, located at 2939 Highway 17,  and the Aug. 18 tour is set for  5 p.m. at the Pawleys Island Lowes Foods, 9160 Ocean Highway.

 You’ll learn how to read food labels, pick healthy snacks, shop on a budget and how marketing influences our food choices. Each tour lasts one hour and includes time for questions.
