GMH Blood Drive set for February 7

Monday, February 03, 2014

Georgetown, S.C. – What better way to observe heart month than to keep a heart beating. You can do that by giving blood Friday, Feb. 7, at   Georgetown Memorial Hospital's blood drive.

The drive is scheduled for the blood mobile and the portable hospital unit from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. They will be set up beside the outpatient/emergency entrance. Appointments will take priority, but walk-ins are welcome. Appointments can be made by calling 843.527.7173 or going to http://www.redcrossblood.org.

In addition to having a valid ID, blood donors must be healthy, be at least 17 years old and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds.
