Sponsored by Georgetown Hospital System and developed at Stanford University, the series is intended for individuals with chronic health conditions, such as arthritis, chronic lung disease, depression, diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure.

The workshops will emphasize chronic disease self-management and offer support to make healthy choices, tips for healthy eating and exercise, practical ways to deal with pain and fatigue, an understanding of dealing with difficult emotions and ways to talk with your physician and family about your health.

Sessions will take place from 1:30-4 p.m. every Monday. Registration is required and can be completed by calling 843.520.8490.
