Dr. Lena Sandifer, internist and pediatrician, joins local medical community

A physician who specializes in internal medicine and pediatrics has joined the medical staffs of Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Dr. Lena Sandifer, who practices at Pawleys Pediatrics and Adult Medicine, provides care for adults and children. Particular areas of interest include preventive medicine, well child care and the treatment of chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, allergies and asthma.

Dr. Sandifer earned her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians.
