Dr. Laurence Ballou to speak on colorectal cancer screening

Georgetown, S.C. — Gastroenterologist Dr. Laurence Ballou will hold a free public seminar on colorectal cancer Thursday, March 6, in Murrells Inlet

Ballou, whose talk is titled “Colorectal Cancer Screening – What You Should Know,” will speak at noon at Wachesaw Conference Center across from Waccamaw Community Hospital. Ballou is a physician with Waccamaw Gastroenterology, and his talk is being hosted by Georgetown Hospital System.

The event will last about an hour and include opportunities for participants to ask questions. Lunch will be served. Space is limited. Reservations can be made online at or by calling 843.520.7842 to reserve a seat. Wachesaw Conference Center is located at 4367 Riverwood Drive.

Dr. Ballou’s offices are located in Murrells Inlet, Socastee/Surfside Beach and in Georgetown.
