Dr. Catie Swift, hematology, oncology specialist, joins local medical community

A fellowship-trained hematology and oncology specialist has joined the medical staffs of Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Waccamaw Community Hospital.

 Dr. Catie Swift, who practices at Waccamaw Oncology in Murrells Inlet and at the Francis B. Ford Cancer Treatment Center in Georgetown, is also a former assistant professor at Wake Forest Baptist Health.

 Dr. Swift earned her medical degree at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed her residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in hematology and oncology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds sub-specialty certifications in hematology and oncology. Dr. Swift is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
