Arthritis Expo, physician panel set for Sept. 16 in Murrells Inlet

The 2014 South Carolina Arthritis Health Expo will take place Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Waccamaw Community Hospital.

More than 25 local vendors will be on hand to provide information about health services at the event, which runs from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the mall area of the hospital.

From 12:15-2 p.m., a physician panel on osteoarthritis is planned for Wachesaw Conference Center on Riverwood Drive across from the hospital. Participants include Dr. Daniel Single, an orthopedist with Waccamaw Orthopaedics; Dr. Elizabeth Snoderly, a pain management specialist with NextStep Pain Management; and Dr. Melissa Terchek, a rheumatologist  with Carolina Rheumatology and Neurology. Lunch will be provided free, but registration is required to guarantee a seat at the panel.

Registration deadline is Sept. 15. The expo is sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation in collaboration with Waccamaw Community Hospital.
