Start the year off with a blood donation at WCH blood drive

Georgetown, S.C. – Start the year off right and help save a life at Waccamaw Community Hospital's blood drive Friday, Jan. 3.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Wachesaw Conference Center on Riverwood Drive across from the hospital in Murrells Inlet. Appointments will take priority, but walk-ins are welcome. Appointments can be made by calling 843.527.7173 or going to

In addition to having a valid ID, blood donors must be healthy, be at least 17 years old and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds. Visit the American Red Cross website for additional requirements.
