Regional health screening set for May 3 at Forestbrook Church

Georgetown, S.C. — Georgetown Hospital System’s Regional Health Screening is set for 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 3, at Forestbrook Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach.  

The event is one of several that GHS offers throughout the year for the community and includes a variety of health screenings, many of which are free, as well as information about GHS programs and physicians and tips for a healthy lifestyle.
Screenings that are offered for a fee include cardiac risk assessment, $25; chemistry panel, $20; thyroid screening, $15; diabetes, $15; PSA for men, $15. Blood panel tests require a 10- to 12-hour fast.    

Registration packets for the event are available at the information desks at Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Waccamaw Community Hospital. Individuals who plan to have blood work are encouraged to pick up a packet in advance, complete it and bring it to the screening. For more information, contact the GHS Community Health Education Department at 520.8447.
