Let your light shine this holiday season on GHS trees

Friday, November 01, 2013

Georgetown, SC --- Honor or memorialize a loved one and help an aspiring student this holiday season through Georgetown Hospital System’s Lights of Love trees.

Individuals can make a $5 minimum tax-deductible donation to the GHS Auxiliary to have a light put on the Lights of Love holiday trees. One tree each will be lighted in front of Georgetown Memorial Hospital (GMH) and Waccamaw Community Hospital (WCH) during the holidays.

The donations go toward a Medical Scholarship Fund to help students pursuing careers in health care. A holiday card will be sent to the person honored or to the family of the individual being remembered. Each honoree’s name will be recorded in the Lights of Love Remembrance Book.

Donation forms for the Lights of Love are available at the information desks at GMH and WCH or online at For more information, contact the GHS Auxiliary at 527.7107.
