Georgetown, S.C. – Whether you’ve resolved to eat healthier or shed a few pounds before swimsuit season, reading nutrition labels can help you shop healthier and make wiser food choices.
To help consumers understand what all those numbers and words really mean, Georgetown Hospital System dietitians will lead a free Supermarket Tour at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at the Garden City Kroger, 2939 Highway 17 South. But sometimes packaging information can be a little confusing.
Participants will learn how to read labels and ingredients, pick healthy snacks and shop on a budget, as well as how marketing influences our food choices.
