Georgetown, S.C. – Does your blood run garnet or orange? It’s your chance to show the community and save a life at Waccamaw Community Hospital's blood drive Friday, Nov. 1.
The event, which takes place at Wachesaw Conference Center on Riverwood Drive across from the hospital in Murrells Inlet, is the third and final Georgetown Hospital System drive for Carolina and Clemson fans to show their allegiance before the football game on Nov. 30.
Every donor’s name will be entered into a drawing for a Carolina and a Clemson tailgate basket and two beach chairs with the school logos that will be awarded the week of the game.
Not a Gamecock or a Tiger fan? No worries; just be a fan for life. The drive will take place from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Appointments will take priority, but walk-ins are welcome. Appointments can be made by calling 843.527.7173 or going to http://www.redcrossblood.org.
In addition to having a valid ID, blood donors must be healthy, be at least 17 years old and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds.
