HealthPoint Blood Drive Set for August 31

Georgetown, S.C. – Labor Day weekend brings barbecue, outdoor fun and the promise of one last summer excursion, but for health-care workers it also means a heightened demand for blood.
To meet that need, HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness is holding a blood drive Friday, Aug. 31, at Pawleys Island.
Sponsored by Georgetown Hospital System, the drive will take place from 12:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the blood mobile in HealthPoint’s parking lot, just off Highway 17.In addition to having a valid ID, blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health.
