Georgetown Hospital System Offers Summer Safesitter Program

Georgetown, SC— Learning how to handle emergencies when caring for children is the focus of Georgetown Hospital System’s Safesitter Program. Registration is now underway for the summer sessions: June 18 and 19, July 9 and 10, or July 11 and 12.
The medically accurate program is for boys and girls, 11-13 years old. 2-day course sessions will be held June 18 and 19 at the Education Center on the campus of Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown; July 9 and 10 and July 11 and 12 at Wachesaw Conference Center in Murrells Inlet from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m..
The program will teach safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills and appropriate responses to medical emergency situations. The fee is $50; online registration available on www.georgetownhospitalsystem.org/communityclasses or call 520.8490.
