GHS Women’s Board/ Foundation to Host Breast Cancer Walk October 1

Murrells Inlet, SC—The Georgetown Hospital System Women’s Board and Foundation will host its sixth annual In the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Saturday, October 1 at the Imaging Center at Waccamaw Medical Park.

Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. with the walk starting at 10:30 a.m. After the walk, join us for the Duck-A-Palooza duck race at noon near the Marsh Walk in Murrells Inlet.  Participants can win an array of great prizes by sponsoring a pink duck for $5.00 each. The walk entry fee is $20 before September 2. From September 3 through October 1, a $25 registration fee will be charged. Walkers may also register online at or at any of the five, Grand Strand-area Belk’s department stores in Murrells Inlet, Georgetown, North Myrtle Beach, Conway, and Myrtle Beach.  Proceeds will benefit the GHS Indigent Breast Cancer Fund with 25% of the proceeds supporting the Susan G.
