GHS To Offer A Student-Athlete Development Program

Pawleys Island , SC Georgetown Hospital System will launch a multi-disciplinary, student athlete program, known as 360studentathlete,starting April 1. 

The goal of the 360studentathlete program is to provide student athletes in Georgetown, Horry, and Williamsburg counties with the resources to achieve their fullest potential in all areas of Academic, Behavior, Motivation, Physical and Athletic development.

Georgetown Hospital System is committed to providing area middle and high school athletes with the resources to excel in the classroom, on the athletic fields, with their health, and in life. Student-athletes in the 7th-12th grades have the option of participating in a six or twelve month program. The clinically integrated program will include opportunities to interact with various GHS 360studentathlete providers, including conditioning specialists, physical rehabilitation professionals, educators, medical providers, and mentors.  These providers are specialists from NextStep Rehabilitation Services, HealthPoint, GHS Registered Dietitians, Robert G. Hines, and physicians in the Orthopedic, Internal Medicine, and Ophthalmology specialties.  

The program has a participation fee which is processed through Georgetown Hospital System’s Foundation and scholarships are available for qualified students in need.
